EL PASO, TEXAS - This third day of the month is ending on a quiet note. I and others used the time to finish several errands, do a Bible study, and pray. Prophetic messengers continue sharing dreams and visions on social media that suggest dire disasters, including bomb attacks, earthquakes and tsunamis. Others foresee economic collapse and civil disturbances.

These messages appear on social media sites devoted to these kind of messages. A couple of them alleged that California will get hit by a 10 magnitude earthquake. Still others claim they received dreams and visions about a "fiery event" in New York City and earthquakes in other parts of the United States or near the mainland.

These events are not necessarily a part of the End-Time judgments that Christians typically associate with the Book of Revelation. They may be precursors, or birth pains, which serve as warnings about what is to come. The best stance to adopt now and at any time is to always remain in a "ready" state to be with the Lord. Daily repentance will keep the channels of communication open with the Lord, and will enable us to hear from the Holy Spirit when we need to know how we should react.

John 14:27 (NIV) - " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Psalm 29:11 (NIV) - "The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace."

May the Lord's shalom rest on each one of you!
