Revelation watch: Day 1

EL PASO, TEXAS – Today is the first day of an account about our local. national and global communities during a significant prophetic season. Several prophetic messengers claim that we may begin to experience tremendous upheavals this month. Although I have had a series of dreams about the Return of Jesus Christ, I have not been given a set timeline for this. Others say they have. Several dreams that I have not categorized were about numbers, and the closest to a date I had was March 19, without the year. That month came and went and nothing out of the ordinary happened, at least that I was aware of. Maybe March 19, 2021? I was also impressed in my spirit one morning with “100 days” after praying the night before about when these things – mostly disasters – would occur. By counting out the days from the day of the dream, I arrived at around October 22 or 23. No further details.By disasters, I am not referring to the judgments of God's wrath (known also as the "terrible day of the Lord") that will occur after the antichrist is revealed.

Other dreams I've had about numbers include several with the number “9” in them. Of course, March 19 also includes a “9.” First, I saw a “9,” then “999” in large figures right in front of my face, again without further context. Then, I dreamed “9909.” [A long list of potential meanings associated with “9” appear in https://graceintorah.net.] These were in separate dreams. 

Here’s another look at the number 9: “(Yom Kippur) is the only one of God's annual Feast days of worship that requires believers to fast for one day. This special day, considered by many Jews to be the holiest of the year, begins at sunset on day 9 of the seventh Hebrew month (Leviticus 23:32),” according to www.biblestudy.org.

Then “2222 77” together as a string in the same dream, and there were arrows pointing up over each of the “2’s.” Then, “717-818-717,” just like that. The “818” numbers appeared faint compared to the “717” digits. I researched the possible symbolism of these numbers in various sources, but not feeling satisfied with any of them, I decided to wait before trying to assign any meaning to them. I prayed about it, but nothing yet. I never had these kinds of dreams before and I am not a “numbers” person (accountant, mathematician, bookkeeper, etc.).

I described and shared several other dreams which appeared to convey spiritual messages. The first one was uploaded April 29, 2020 on YouTube. In speaking to others, friends, and relatives, I know that other people also are having dreams about the End Times and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This is the first time in my life that I dreamed about such things. I believe dreams can serve as warnings from God about the things that the Bible says about the end of the world as we know it.

The Covid-19 (another "9") crisis and “lock down” placed a global pause on business as usual. It also presented everyone with an opportunity to focus on our relationship with the Lord, or lack thereof. Many spiritual leaders – the big rock stars of the faith – waited months before admitting that the Lord was trying to tell us something, such as “repent” and turn back to Him wholeheartedly. 

Before the crisis began, I kept wondering how to reach church pastors with a message to fast and pray for the Lord’s guidance, and to have their congregations do the same. Well, the Lord took care of that Himself. The churches, for the most part, had lost their influence on our communities. No light, no salt. Our national sins continue to advance, dragging along millions. Too many church leaders were focused on building man-made empires. As a result, divine judgment is pending. The Lord does not take any pleasure in punishing nations. He is a loving God. And, He is also a holy God.

Nothing unusual on a national (USA) or global scale seemed to happen on Day 1 of this countdown. Chile had a series of earthquakes, an asteroid scheduled to pass by the Earth today did not become a danger, we have a harvest full moon, extreme weather events are wreaking havoc in parts of the world, the coronavirus has not subsided, and the United States is about nine weeks away from the November 3 presidential election.

As we enter this epic prophetic season, I feel wonderfully at peace. The angst over the fate of the world I felt before is gone. Despite the predicted chaos and disruptions to come, the Lord is in control. Those of us who follow Jesus must walk out our lives in daily tension: doing our best in our jobs, families, and communities, while looking up because the Lord said He could come at any moment. Because of the Bible prophecies that have been fulfilled up to now, I certainly believe it will happen in my lifetime.

The beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is its simplicity. When Jesus started out His earthly ministry, He said “repent.” He did the impossible part when He took on our sins and punishment on the cross so that we could be forgiven. We could not atone for our own sins; it was impossible. When we choose to believe Jesus and accept His free gift of salvation, we will no longer be at war with God. It is sin that separates us from our Creator. He has provided the solution so that we can spend eternity with Him.
