Signs and wonders? Pentagon officially releases 'UFO' videos

Signs and wonders?

They can come from one of two sources, according to the Bible, God or satan:

Hebrews 2:4 (ESV) - "While God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will."

2 Thessalonians 2:9 (ESV) - "The coming of the lawless one [antichrist] is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,"

Shared video: Something big is coming upon the earth

The warnings are everywhere

Video is shared to indicate that it is important to monitor space events in light of Bible prophecies, such as the "Wormwood" asteroid that may be heading toward the earth within the next one to five decades.

NASA has identified "Apophis" as an asteroid that could potentially strike the earth.

Revelation 8:11 (ESV) - "The name of the star [asteroid] is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter."

Video of prophetic dream: the return of Jesus Christ

Video of prophetic dream from April 28, 2020

I had three brief dreams, one after another, about the return of Jesus Christ.

I kept hearing "three," and it involved three parts or three segments. I started to wake up after each brief dream, but would go back to sleep and the dream continued. I tried again to wake and get up after the second one, but fell back asleep for the last part.

The first two dreams featured a message board with writings and different colors, a board like you might find in a classroom setting. One set of these boards were divided in three parts, side by side. The final dream featured a huge field of densely packed wheat in the sunshine.

What are the three phases of the return of Jesus Christ? He will come "in the air" for the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17), He will return with the believers and His holy angels to destroy antichrist and his evil armies (Revelation 19:11-21), and He will set up His government on earth (with Jerusalem as the capital) for His 1,000-year reign (Revelation 20).

Pray prophetically Matthew 9:38. We are living in a prophetic season.

Bible prophecy: The seals of judgment and antichrist

Bible End Times Prophecy

The seven seals of judgment, Revelation, Chapters 6 and 8 (see video below)

The antichrist appears on the scene

Candlelight image/Unsplash
Chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation takes us to straight to scenes from the Tribulation, the seven-year period of God’s judgment on the earth.

The Christian church as such is no longer mentioned again in Revelation – not in any form that we can recognize – until the return of Jesus Christ later in Revelation.

Israel takes center stage as the judgment period unfolds, and which will have its climax in the cosmic battle led by Jesus Christ and His followers against satan and his evil forces. Everything since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden has been leading up to this moment.

The reason for the apparent absence of the Christian church (the gentiles) has only one possible explanation: the church has been raptured before the Tribulation begins. This is known in Christian circles as the pre-tribulation rapture. Others believe that the rapture will take place in the middle of the Tribulation, right after the first 3 ½ years of judgment. Still others believe the rapture will occur at the end of the Tribulation, or that there will not even be a rapture. (We will look at verses that suggest a pre-Tribulation rapture next time so we can focus this time on the seals of judgment.) See a video of what the rapture may look like:

The rapture

Previously, through John’s portrayal of the End Times, we were given a glimpse of the throne room of God and learned that Jesus Christ was the only one considered worthy to open the scroll and break the seals that detailed the divinely ordained judgments. What John the Apostle prophesied is nothing short of absolute horror and devastation.

Revelation 6:I-2 (NLT): “As I watched, the Lamb broke the first of the seven seals on the scroll. Then I heard one of the four living beings say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” I looked up and saw a white horse standing there. Its rider carried a bow, and a crown was placed on his head. He rode out to win many battles and gain the victory.

The rider on the apocalyptic white horse is considered to be the antichrist, the man that satan will empower and instruct to wage war on the followers of Jesus Christ, those who were left behind after the rapture and who came to salvation, including many Jewish people who initially rejected the idea that Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah.

We are not given details in Revelation yet about the antichrist, although references to the “son of perdition,” as he is also known, appear in other passages of the Old and New Testaments.

Over the years, Bible scholars have identified several characteristics of the antichrist, the man whose identity has mystified students of the scriptures for ages:

1. He will claim to be god and demand worship.  2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
2. He will blaspheme God. Rev 13:6
3. He will demonstrate miracles. Rev. 13:13.
4. He will be “resurrected.” Rev. 13:12; 13.14, 17:8.
5. He will receive complete authority to govern the world. Rev. 13:5,7.
6. His mark and the number of his name will be 666. Rev. 13:18.
7. He will control the world economy. Rev. 13:16-17.
8. He is the man of sin. 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
9. He will deceive the people. Matthew 24:24.
10. There is a mysterious reference to his view of women. Daniel 11:37.
11. He will be an ally of satan. Rev.13:4
12. He will be backed by a false prophet. Rev: 13:11-15.
13. He will defile the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. Matthew 24: 15-21.
14. He will threaten a destructive war against Israel. Dan.11:40-41; 9:27.
15. He will lead armies to fight against God. Rev. 19:19.
16. Hell will be his final destiny. Rev. 20:10.

Next: Continue with the seven seals of judgment

Salvation and Victory

You must be born again to be saved

The sinless Jesus Christ took on the sins of the world AND the punishment for those sins so that we could be saved.

Today, if you do not know Jesus, receive His free offer of salvation and put all your trust in Him.

John 1:29 (NLT) – “The next day he [John the Baptist] saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

2 Corinthians 6:2 –

“ For God says,
“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”
Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.”

Acts 2:38 (NLT) – “Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”

If you know Jesus, then you too can lead a victorious life

John 15:4 “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.”

1 John 2:16 (NIV) – “For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world.

1 John 2:16 (NLT) – “For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.”

Background: John the apostle wrote the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) during his exile in Patmos. He received what appears to be a series of visions about far future events. Jesus instructed him to write down what he saw and send the writing to the seven churches in Asia Minor (region of Turkey today). John was the last surviving member of the 12 apostles that the Lord called to lead the church and its mission. Except for John, by now, when he wrote the Apocalypse, the rest of the apostles had died as martyrs for the faith. The church, however, continued to grow and spread. Persecution caused the early believers to scatter from Jerusalem to other parts of the world. According to church tradition, John lived out his remaining life in Ephesus after he was released from Patmos.

The Lord is our banner, Exodus 17:15

The Lord is our banner Jesus is our banner

Jesus on the flag. Photo by DWV
In several places of the Bible, the Lord describes Himself as a "military" commander and as the Lord of Heaven's armies (the Lord of hosts).

The story in Exodus 17:8-16 offers an example of how the Lord goes before us to lead in battle. We must also give him the glory for the victory.

Exodus 17:15, depending on the translation, refers to Him as Jehovah-Nissi or Yahweh-Nissi, which means the Lord is our banner, and it is one of the titles of the Lord. Some armies have fought with a flag of their country, or as in times past, they fought under the banner of a certain king or emperor.

The Lord has told us that He is our banner. In these times of trouble, let Him lead the way and let us follow Him.

Exodus 17:15 (NLT): "Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means “the Lord is my banner”)."

And from Isaiah 59:19: "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." The Hebrew word for "standard" is banner.

The call to repentance is embedded in Covid-19

The call to repentance is embedded in the traits of #Covid-19
Scriptures: Psalm 51:3-19; Revelation 2:5; Mark 3:5-6; Mark 8:17; Leviticus 26: 14-39; Ezekiel 36:26

Dreams Time image.
The most emblematic aspect of #Covid-19 is the need for constant hand-washing and disinfection. Health officials have put a premium on hygiene, and the cleansing that's needed to achieve it.
Then it hit - of course! It's our need to be cleansed of sin, to have the blood of Jesus wash away our sins.

I am glad to see national spiritual leaders start talking about our need for national repentance, and not a quickie prayer for the Lord to rescue us from the virus, but real heartfelt repentance in asking the Lord to forgive us (Joel 2:12)
The bars are closed, the abortion clinics (in our city) were forced to suspend operations, and all our idols were shut down. These things happened because of the virus, not because of the influence of the church. Even our churches were forced to shut down.

The Lord did not send the virus, but He allowed it and is using it to achieve His purposes.
Pray for our leaders, our spiritual leader and those in government, so that our communities and nation will repent, and once again honor the Lord our God, and we will receive mercy.

How did this happen?

Our hardness of heart, individually and as a church. In order to continue ignoring the sins of the nation, we had to harden our hearts, which enabled us to disregard what went on around us. Our unbelief made us think we could do nothing about these things.
Unless we believe and obey the Lord, Jesus will take away our lamp stand (Rev: 2:5).

The Lord can give us a new heart: Ezekiel 36:26

Yours in Jesus Christ

Rejecting Jesus Christ is the world’s sin

Rejecting Jesus Christ is the world’s sin

Jesus: “The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.” - John 16:9 (NLT)

It is a very serious thing to reject the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ offers the world. In His mercy, God waits on us patiently to repent and turn to Him. He even commissioned His disciples to help spread the Good News of His salvation. Tragically, some people respond with hardened hearts and say no to the Savior.

Ever wonder why Jesus would ask us mere humans to help with His harvest of souls [Matthew 9:38]? After all, He is all-powerful and does not need any “associates” in this mighty endeavor. I am speculating here on a possible reason: He wants us to help because salvation involves the human will. The Lord will not save someone against his or her will. God made mankind in His image – the will being an attribute that the Creator possesses, and He will not override the will of the men and women He created.

People do not fully understand how special they are to the Lord. (I personally still find it difficult to assimilate this. Me, special to the Lord – how?). Yet, the Bible tells us that we are so special to God that the Father sent Jesus His only son to be born into humanity, live among us, and ultimately, to also suffer betrayal and torture, and to die a lonely death on the cross. He was able to rise from the dead (Resurrection) because there was no sin found in Him; He never committed a sin. He took on our sins but He Himself was perfect. He died a horrible death, and He did this to save anyone who is willing to come to Him.

We cannot wrap our heads around this easily, because it is so huge that our finite minds cannot comprehend what it really cost Jesus to redeem us. He had to take on the sin of the entire world – of all people everywhere at all times. And, He had to take on the collective punishment for the collective sin.

We can understand how perhaps someone might sacrifice him or herself for others, such as our battlefield Medal of Honor heroes. But the sacrifice of Jesus was so much more. The Bible records that Jesus was separated from the Father while on the cross, and this is why Jesus cried out “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” [Matthew 27:46]. The holiness of God is such that He could not look upon Jesus as the Son took on our sins.

Why did Jesus sweat drops of blood in Gethsemane as He prayed? Because He was shown exactly what He had to endure in order to rescue humanity [Luke 22:44]. Jesus hoped, as He prayed, that there could be another way. The Father said there was no other way.

Our sin separates us from God. Because of sin, we are literally at war with God, and we are at war with our souls; as a result, we belong to the kingdom of darkness ruled by satan. There is no middle ground or fence on which to straddle as we delay this consequential decision.

We can repent and turn to Jesus and through His free gift of salvation be instantly reconciled to the Father. The one sin that the Father cannot overlook is our outright rejection of Jesus Christ – refusing to believe in Him. We have national sins, community sins, individual sins. But refusing to believe in Jesus – that is the sin of the world.

It is a sin that affects every one of every language, nation and background, male or female, rich or poor. It will result in a death sentence (Revelation 20:14) and eternal separation from God. "And just as it is appointed for people to die once—and after this, judgment,"Hebrews 9:27 (CSB). There is no reincarnation, or karma, or just a physical death. We will die and after that we will answer to God for what we did about His son. Jesus did everything He could to ransom us, and He shed His precious blood for us – a sacrifice with eternal value straight from the Father’s heart motivated by His love for us.

Today, if you read or hear this message – which is good news for anyone who is far from God – turn to Him while there is time. Do not harden your heart. We can learn a lesson from the Egyptian pharaoh’s unfortunate mistakes. He started to repent after several of the ten plagues recorded in the Bible started to bother him, but then he would change his mind and go back to rebelling against God. He did so even as each new plague grew worse. This continued until in the end, pharaoh was destroyed [Exodus, chapters 7-14].

Leviticus 26:14-39 provides a frightening narrative of God’s progressive punishments for continued sinful rebellion. Generally, there are two things that keep people from turning to God: ignorance about the Good News of salvation and or the unwillingness to give up a sinful lifestyle. The Lord will do whatever is possible to get our attention; ultimately though, we must choose or reject Him and accept the eternal consequences.

The hardening of our hearts is a serious matter, because every time we say no, we make it harder for ourselves to say yes later. At some point, time will run out and so will our opportunity receive God’s free gift of salvation. Jesus reproved the religious leaders of His day, in particular the Pharisees, for their “hard hearts.” [Mark 3:5-6]

The Lord can give us a new heart, one that is not callous, indifferent or hard. "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you [a] heart of flesh" [Ezekiel 36:26]. Pride, one of the sources of a hardened heart, can also lead us to deception: “You have been deceived by your own pride" [Obadiah, verse 3].

Other related verses

In Mark 8:17, we read that hardness of heart hinders faith: “Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?”

“Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him.” - Ephesians 4:18 (NLT).

See also Proverbs 28:13-14; John 12:40; Mark 10:5.

In chapter 26 of Acts, King Agrippa gave a regretful response to Paul the apostle’s passionate testimony about the Good News, a response that exposed a hardened heart.

“Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian” [Acts 26:28-NKJV]. Almost persuaded will not be not good enough.

Not everyone that Jesus personally preached to was willing to believe Him either. How that must have broken His heart, and it still does. He is in Heaven today as our Savior, High Priest and Advocate. He is coming back – this time - as Judge [Revelation 1:7.; Rev. 20:12-13.]

Repent and be saved

How?

Confess your sins to God. Tell Him you are willing to turn around and turn away from sin.

Ask for and receive His free gift of salvation. You will receive the Holy Spirit. Thank Him.

Tell someone you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. Get baptized and join a Bible-believing Christian church where you learn how to grow in your faith.

2 Peter 3:9 (WEB) – “The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

John 1:29 (ESV) - The next day he [John the Baptist] saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
