Jesus Christ the Messiah is the central figure of Bible prophecy

Bible End Times Prophecy – Week 51 (Continued)

God himself proclaimed the first recorded prophecy in the Bible in the Book of Genesis, and it heralded his plan of redemption for humanity.

The message about the promised Messiah who was to save the world appears in Isaiah and in Matthew. There are more Bible prophecies about the Messiah, however, these are some examples.

Genesis 3:15 – “I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Isaiah 7:14 – “Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign: See, the virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.”

Matthew 1:22-23 –  Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.”

Prophecies in the Bible prove that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and they prove that the Bible is a true and a trustworthy text. The Bible contains important prophecies with at least three significant messages: Messiah will redeem humanity (God’s rescue plan), Messiah has come, and he is Jesus Christ, and Messiah Jesus is coming back.

Jesus Christ is the central figure of the Bible. If we maintain this view, we should not become easily confused or detoured by conflicting messages. Everything in the Bible points to the Lord.
