A personal greeting from the ministry

Rev. Diana Washington Valdez/FTCM
A personal greeting

I would like to take a few moments to thank you for reading the ministry messages posted on this site. Please use them to encourage your own study of the Bible and strengthen your prayer life.

Although I don't know all of you individually, some of you are from different countries around the world - you are in my prayers. Feel free to share any prayer concerns in the comments section or by message @ Facebook.com/FaithTodayPage1

Several of us set aside a time to fast and pray each on Thursday. Fasting is a way to humble ourselves before the Lord, whether as a partial (Daniel) fast or full (Esther) fast.

You are invited to join with us with your prayer petitions. Among other things, after several weeks of doing this, you will find yourself changed, more ready to listen to the Lord's guidance for your life. You and your prayer partners and or Bible study groups can set aside time for fasting and prayer.

Joel 2:12 (CSB) - "Even now—this is the Lord’s declaration—turn to me with all your heart,
with fasting, weeping, and mourning."

Luke 2:36-37 (NIV) - "There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying."

Jesus Christ died to give ALL of us a chance to respond to the message of God's redemption. We can know peace in our lives once we are at peace with the Lord.

Among other things, the ministry page provides links to free online Bible resources, such as Bible Gateway, so you can look up Bible passages in a translation that you find best for you.

Ezekiel 18:32 (NIV) - "For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!"

I Thessalonians 4:14 - "For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."

Shalom*

*Shalom is a word rich in meaning. It comes from the root word "shalam." According to FIRM's Doug Hershey, shalam means, “to be safe in mind, body, or estate.” It speaks of completeness, fullness, or a type of wholeness that encourages you to give back — to generously re-pay something in some way."

Have a blessed day!
