The call to repentance is embedded in Covid-19

The call to repentance is embedded in the traits of #Covid-19
Scriptures: Psalm 51:3-19; Revelation 2:5; Mark 3:5-6; Mark 8:17; Leviticus 26: 14-39; Ezekiel 36:26

The most emblematic aspect of #Covid-19 is the need for constant hand-washing and disinfection. Health officials have put a premium on hygiene, and the cleansing that's needed to achieve it.
Then it hit - of course! It's our need to be cleansed of sin, to have the blood of Jesus wash away our sins.

I am glad to see national spiritual leaders start talking about our need for national repentance, and not a quickie prayer for the Lord to rescue us from the virus, but real heartfelt repentance in asking the Lord to forgive us (Joel 2:12)
The bars are closed, the abortion clinics (in our city) were forced to suspend operations, and all our idols were shut down. These things happened because of the virus, not because of the influence of the church. Even our churches were forced to shut down.

The Lord did not send the virus, but He allowed it and is using it to achieve His purposes.
Pray for our leaders, our spiritual leader and those in government, so that our communities and nation will repent, and once again honor the Lord our God, and we will receive mercy.

How did this happen?

Our hardness of heart, individually and as a church. In order to continue ignoring the sins of the nation, we had to harden our hearts, which enabled us to disregard what went on around us. Our unbelief made us think we could do nothing about these things.
Unless we believe and obey the Lord, Jesus will take away our lamp stand (Rev: 2:5).

The Lord can give us a new heart: Ezekiel 36:26
