Interesting facts about the Bible

About the Bible ...

Chapters were not added to the Christian Bible until the 13th Century and verses not until
the 16th Century, according to BibleGateway.Com.

These historical facts offer good reasons to read more than one passage or verse in the Bible (Old and New Testaments) to understand what God is telling us about certain things and events.

Gateway calls Bibles published without these breaks in the text "reader Bibles."

What we have today is a lot better than what was available in the days of the early church, when they had limited access to scrolls, fragments of manuscripts, and or word-of-mouth accounts.

Next: Watch this site for the new series on Bible prophecy. The main prophetic messages in the Bible deal with the arrival of Messiah, Israel, the Return of Messiah in the End Times, the Christian church, and humanity in general. My prayer is that the series will bless and inspire you. Do share with others what you learn here.

Shalom!
